Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare's Duluth Clinic Celebrates 13th Anniversary and Champions Curepity Movement
Duluth Mayor proclaims November 5, 2012 “CurePity Day” in Duluth
WHAT:
The public is invited to attend a celebration and brief program to mark the 13th anniversary of Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare’s Duluth Clinic. The event will highlight Gillette’s CurePity movement, which is built around the premise that children who have disabilities don’t need pity. They need hope, expert medical care and a world that gives them a chance. The public is asked to go towww.CurePity.org. Pledge takers promise to reject pity and take action to improve the lives
and health of children who have disabilities. Duluth’s Mayor Don Ness has proclaimed November 5, 2012 as “CurePity Day” in Duluth.
As part of the celebration, Ambassadors from the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce will present Gillette’s Duluth Clinic with a plaque and have been invited to sign the CurePity pledge. Light refreshments will be served following the program.
Gillette’s Duluth Clinic provides convenient, easily accessible treatments and services to northern Minnesota children and families. Last year, the clinic served nearly 1,000 patients from the Duluth area, saving families significant mileage expenses and drive times required to access care at Gillette’s main St. Paul campus.
