| Description |
The Duluth Playhouse February 16-26, 2012 Thursdays-Saturdays: 7:30pm, Sundays: 2pm Amadeus gloriously recreates the life and times of one of classical music's most famous composers, through the eyes of renowned colleague, Salieri. The play tells two stories: one of a manical genius who composes beautiful symphonies, the other of a less-talented man envious and obsessed of the genious’s gifts. Salieri became so obsessed with Mozart’s superior artistry that on his death bed he babbled incoherently that he had murdered Mozart more than thirty years earlier. He was mad, of course. Or was he? |
