My Brain is Hanging Upside Down“Just let go!” My friends shouted up to me. Right. You cling to a wall 40 feet off the ground and “just let go”. I glanced down and quickly turned back to the wooden climbing wall I clung to. I had to face the inevitable—I had to get down and I had to let go. I was far too tired to pick my way to the bottom. My fingers were stiff and my arms were shaking from my climb up. |

World of WheelsThere are only a few times in my life where my feet have felt awkward. Once when they were squeezed into water shoes and sinking me to the bottom of swimming area; again, when they were strapped to an inflexible snowboard; and (my favorite type of awkward feet) when they were laced into roller skates. Clunky, wide, and looking more eccentric than bowling shoes, roller skates are not the in-fashion item of the year. But we aren’t going for looks here. We want awkward shoes to match our awkward movements as we try to stay upright and navigate turns at high speeds!
