How to Find a Great Stylist Right Here in Duluth~Superior

Dear Justin Paul,
I have currently have been driving all the way to the Twin Cities (downtown Minneapolis to be exact) every 4 weeks to get my hair trimmed and to maintain my color.  I have been doing this for 3 years now due to a disastrous drama at my former local salon.  Now with gas prices soaring and the cost difference between the salons in the Twin Cities compared to Duluth~Superior, I am having a hard time spending the excess cash that I could be using for other things.  How do I go about finding a stylist here? Please help, my grey hair is multiplying by the second!

Dear Desperate in Duluth,
Get a grip, girl!  It is about time you came to your senses!!   I just added up the amount of money you probably spent on your hair over the last three years and I think you could have remodeled your entire kitchen!

I know for a fact that there are dozens of phenomenal hairdressers in Duluth~Superior.  A “bad experience” with one stylist is no reason to write off the rest of the local talent.  Local stylists get the same training as the stylists in Minneapolis, and for the most part, we are much more affordable.

So, how do you find someone new?

Start shopping around
Look for women with hairstyles that appeal to you.  If you see a woman with an amazing cut or highlights to die for, ask who does her hair.  Every woman likes to be complemented on her appearance.  In doing so you will have made someone’s day, as well as gotten a great lead on a new stylist.

Next, it’s time for you to book the appointment. Don’t be disenchanted by the fact that he or she may have a wait time of a few weeks to get you in.  This is a good sign that others have discovered this natural’s talent as well.
